East Valley Water District's Human Resources Division is responsible for facilitating programs to attract the best and brightest candidates while fostering a work environment that promotes high morale and employee retention.
Recognizing the importance of individual well-being, Human Resources leads the efforts to encourage health and wellness. Additionally, they manage the risk and safety programs to ensure a safe work-place at the District.

Other Awards
2016 Innovative Program/Project Award – The California Special Districts Association (CSDA) honored the District with this award for our innovative succession planning efforts.
2015 Spotlight on Excellence Award – The California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) annually recognizes one exemplary organization for innovation and excellence in public service. The District received this award in 2015 for the following:
- Being the first water agency to receive a grant award from the Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority to assist with budget-based billing
- Expansion of the District’s surface water treatment plan
- Pledging a commitment to leadership, partnership and stewardship
- Understanding the need to educate the community of the efforts involved in maintaining a reliable water system
2014 McMurchie Excellence in Safety Award – Special District Risk Management Authority (SDRMA) presented this award to the District for obtaining a low workers compensation experience modifier by providing a safe work environment for our team.
EVWD offers a Volunteer Program to provide community members with an opportunity to gain valuable job experience and learn how the water District works.
